Purchasing a License
There are two license types:

Both license types include all ISESteroids features. The only difference is a significantly discounted price for the non-commercial PowerShell Specialist license. Please get the appropriate license.
There are no hidden or additional costs: the license price contains all taxes, there are neither maintenance fees nor subscriptions or recurring billing.
“Per-User” Licensing
- Specify the number of licensed users by changing the “quantity” in the shopping cart.
- Each purchase ships 1 (one) license file for the number of purchased users (“quantity”)
- Volume discounts apply per purchase.
- To increase the number of licensed users for an existing license, purchase a new license file. Send us both the old and new license file if you want us to combine both files into one.
License Terms
Below applies to both license types:
- Lifetime license: No hidden cost, no maintenance fees.
- License is per user
- Can be used on up to 3 machines and/or 3 identities simultaneously
- License can be removed from a system any time, and re-used on another machine
- License will automatically free its slot after 15 days of inactivity, so even if you forget to remove a license from a system that gets discarded, you’ll never invalidate your license
- Licensing works in offline environments
Applying a License File
- Open the license folder:
explorer $env:appdata\ISESteroids\License - Place a copy of your license into this folder.
- ISESteroids picks up the license file the next time you run it, and shows the license status in its status bar.
When you apply a license for the first time, launching ISESteroids may be delayed by up to 30 seconds while your license is registered.
- To verify your license status, from within ISESteroids run this command:
Show-SteroidsLicenseThis command opens a license dialog. Select your license in the dropdown list. You can also use this dialog to permanently remove the license from your computer.
Always make sure you place a copy of your license file into the license folder. Keep your original license file in a safe place. Once ISESteroids picks up a license file, the file content will be altered and locked to the particular machine to protect you from license theft. A “used” license file cannot be used on another computer anymore.
